Welcome back to a new school year. It is an honor and a privilege to serve the Alabama School Nutrition Association for the upcoming year.  I look forward to hearing from you over the next year.  I will gladly welcome any suggestions, comment and criticisms that will help us make this organization better.  I believe that we have the best association in the nation already and I am very proud to represent you.

 

I would like to thank everyone who attended the 47th Alabama School Nutrition Conference and Food Nutrition Expo held in Montgomery, Alabama in March 2011.  I would also like to thank all of you who took the time to let me know how much you enjoyed the fun you had at the numerous activities that were planned. 

Many of you expressed how much you learned in the training sessions and classes that were provided at this conference.  These comments proved that all the planning and hard work that was put into this conference was well worth it.
 

Conference this year will be held in Birmingham, Alabama on March 30-31, 2012. Melissa Donaldson, President-Elect is planning a wonderful conference where you will discover “Keys to good health, the music to our heart”.  Mark these dates on your calendar and make your plans to attend as this promises to be a wonderful time filled with fun, food and some exciting educational sessions.

 

I am looking forward to a wonderful year as we continue to strive to be the best and show others what is good about Alabama.
